Citing the Economy, Court Lightens Up on In-House-Counsel Licensure

Another announced change is to allow licensed in-house counsel to do pro bono work under the auspices of non-profit organizations providing assistance to the poor or functioning as public interest law firms as defined by R. 1:21-1(e). Previously, the rule allowed in-house lawyers to perform pro bono work only for Legal Services of New Jersey.
