Pro Bono Net is pleased to introduce a new webinar series "Virtual Pro Bono in New York". Over the coming year, this new series will highlight exciting pro bono organizations and opportunities, and show you how you can get involved. This series has been funded by the New York Community Trust.

An Introduction to New York Legal Assistance Group's (NYLAG) Pro Bono Program and a Substantive Training on Pro Bono Divorce Matters

Description of Session: This program will provide an introduction to the many pro bono programs offered by New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and will provide an introduction to Matrimonial & Family Law pro bono matters. The substantive training will cover key issues in Uncontested and Contested Divorce, touching on child support and custody, and what you might expect when you take on a matrimonial matter. You will learn how to find pro bono matters of interest to you and how to support your pro bono work through online resources including training videos and other introductory materials, as well as model pleadings and other sample documents on probono.net/ny. NYLAG presenters include Kate Wurmfeld, Esq., Staff Attorney, Matrimonial & Family Law Unit, and Alison Sclater, Esq., Director of Pro Bono.
